Summary
Sitewire is seeking a community manager to join its rapidly growing social media team. Because our work moves at such a quick pace, we need someone who can plug-and-play – essentially, we need you to hit the ground running. Here are a few attributes about you that really appeal to us:
You’re an articulate writer
You know what a style guide is, and you know how to use it. And while you enjoy having your work edited, it generally doesn’t come back to you hemorrhaging with grammatical and structural errors. And we love you for that.
You possess the ability to think three steps ahead
As a community manager, you’re intimately familiar with your audience – so much so that you can anticipate their needs, and are knowledgeable enough to throw up the red flag if something about a campaign seems off kilter.
You have an uncanny knack for spotting engagement opportunities
Does a Facebook fan have a brand-related question? You’re on it. Did a tweeter have a negative brand-related experience? You’re already looking into the details. Did someone say something positive about the brand you’re representing on a blog? You’re already there, ready to hit ‘send’ on your well-crafted message of gratitude.
You have a natural sense of curiosity
One of the most common questions in your repertoire is, “Why?” You’re not asking to be a pest; you’re asking because you truly want to see every social effort succeed in your community.
You play well with others
In addition to being an intrinsically social person, you’re open minded, love to brainstorm, have no problem jumping in to help when other members of your team are slammed and you know how to respectfully push back when necessary.
You like to color outside of the lines
Simply said, you’re a creative person who is constantly thinking of ways to make your community an interesting, fun and entertaining place to engage. You build “sticky” communities by churning out thought-provoking content, and relish the opportunity to bring unique ideas to the strategy table.

You’re a strategic thinker. Holistic, long-term vision is required.
You’re a tactical implementer and know how to make big ideas come to life.

Summary
Sitewire seeks a motivated and experienced person to join our busy campaign management & strategy team of marketing professionals. If you know—deeply—the difference between PPC and CPM, how CPA can impact ROAS, what happens from CTR to CR… then we might be looking for you.
Job Functions
We manage lots—and I mean lots—of paid media dollars for clients. And those dollars are spread over lots—and I mean lots—of tactics, campaigns and marketing initiatives. Everything we do is digital. Much of what we do is highly optimized with dynamic pricing. We take a very hands-on approach to paid media management, though we’re smart enough to know when to rely on automation. Yes, we do paid search and online display campaigns. But we also manage online video placements and ad buys, social advertising, and complex behavioral targeting campaigns.
Sometimes the management is tedious. Quite often it’s routine. Occasionally, it’s a little maddening. But on the upside, there’s plenty of time to think creatively about new strategies or tweaks to existing efforts to make them perform better.
Critical Skills Experience/Requirements
If you meet these minimum requirements, you might be a fit:
4 year degree in marketing/communications. Marketing is key.
1 year digital campaign management experience. Preferably at an agency.
Outstanding written communication skills. You must make the complex simple.
Eye-popping presentation-creation skills. Mastery of PowerPoint is required.
Mind-blowing presenting skills. Speak with extreme confidence on what you know.
Statistical and analytical competency. Pivot tables do not frighten you.
Strategic thinker. Holistic, long-term vision is required.
Tactical implementer. That big plan you just created? Go make it happen.
Possess a natural curiosity about social and digital media. Early adopters wanted!
